Venom - Witching Hour

Once again tune of the day is using the time machine for a nice flashback. This time i have bumped into the old classic band Venom and i can say it wasn't yesterday i heard this one.

Venom are an English extreme metal band, formed in 1978 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Considered a seminal influence for thrash and coming to prominence towards the end of the 'New Wave of British Heavy Metal.

The lineup for this record was:
Conrad "Cronos" Lant – bass guitar, vocals
Jeffrey "Mantas" Dunn – guitar
Tony "Abaddon" Bray – drums

Todays tune "Witching Hour" from the album "Welcome To Hell" is the 1981 debut album. The sound of the album was very noisy and rough, perhaps in part because the band thought they were recording a demo when they recorded the album over a period of only three days. So enjoy it!

Also issued as limited edition picture disc and on purple vinyl.

Venom var nog det grymaste band man kunde lyssna på då...och håller med dig fullständigt. Fick oxå en chock första gången.
