Madrugada - Strange Color Blue

Madrugada was a Norwegian rock band formed in the town of Stokmarknes 1995. The band members included Frode Jacobsen (bass), Sivert Høyem (vocals) and Robert Burås (guitar). After the death of Burås on July 12, 2007 Høyem and Jacobsen decided to finish recording their latest album. The album, entitled Madrugada, was released on January 21, 2008. After the release of the album the band announced they would split after one last tour. They performed their last ever concert on November 15 2008 at Oslo Spektrum in Oslo-Norway.

The remastered De Luxe edition of Madrugada's debut album "Industrial Silence" was released in Norway by EMI Music Norway on the 5th of July. The international release will follow after the summer. The De Luxe edition is a double album: Album 1 contains the remastered "Industrial Silence" as it was originally released in 1999. Album 2 contains tracks from all their early EP-s and four previously unrelased demo recordings. The album is remastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound in New York. The CD version will be a 8 page digipack with a 16 page booklet and liner notes by Pierre Peron.

Todays tune "Strange Color Blue" is taken from their debut album, this video is Live at Oslo Spektrum

Madrugada is a Portuguese and Spanish word meaning "dawn".
