As I lay Dying - The Sound of Truth

Back to Taste Of Caos.

I went up to the other stage a quickie to see a bit of
the metalcore band As I Lay Dying.
(this stage had a lot better sound than main stage)
A hard core Growl band. How can i describe em, hm.
A band who kept a hard pace with
growling vocals of a hard tattooed singer,
yeap that's what it was :)
Took some pics, but hm..it was kinda hard cos both audience
and the band was moving or jumping..hehe :p

They come from San Diego, CA in the US.
Lambesis formed As I Lay Dying in 2000 with drummer Jordan Mancino, debuting with Beneath the Encasing of Ashes the following year. At the time, San Diego’s music scene was enjoying the last wave of the mid-90s pop-punk explosion.

It is a christian band and in an interview with Tim Lambesis, he says:
“As Christians we believe in the bible and we believe very strongly and our faith is very important to us, Behemoth describe Christians as very judgmental and I can relate to why they would be so hated because judging other people is not something we’re supposed to be doing. If you really follow the teachings of Jesus it’s all about love and forgiveness.”
Feels somehow very odd in the world of Metal but its kinda cool.

They did 5 studio albums and one compilation.
The video i picked for today´s tune eint new but from 2007
from the album "An Ocean Between Us".
Their new album is somehow harder than that pretty good indeed.
Thats named "The Powerless Rise" and was released in maj 2010.

Here is a video from their new album,
The first tune on this album: Beyond Our Suffering
