JEFF The Brotherhood - Heavy Days

With the encouraging news on Rival Sons forthcoming visit to Sweden, became curious about the band that is out traveling with Rival Sons so, i entered "JEFF The Brotherhood" in Google. JEFF the Brotherhood is a two-piece rock band consisting of brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall, hailing form Nashville, Tennessee. Their style has been described by music writers as containing elements of psychedelic rock, garage rock, punk and pop. They have released five original LPs on the label Infinity Cat Recordings, one live album on Third Man Records, and assorted singles and splits with noted artists such as Ty Segall, Best Coast and Screaming Females. Their “we’ll play anywhere” attitude and frenetic live shows have earned them near legendary status in the clubs and basements of Nashville and beyond. With three guitar strings and a minimal drum kit, they manage to distill rock to its primal essence. It will be incredibly interesting to see them live.

Jeff The Brotherhood sounds like a roadtrip on fuzz acid and have more gas than can be expected from a pair of brothers from Nashville. The siblings Jake and Jamin Orrall started Jeff The Brotherhood in high school, a time when everything was shit and punk is the only thing that can save lives. Now, ten years after the first rope, first riff is past the rope and the latest riff just magically good as it ever was. In a head-on collision between John Garcia and Ron Asheton, we find, in addition to bloody corpses, just the node where Jeff The Brother Hood bulimic stoner punk raging free.

Todays tune with JEFF The Brotherhood is the title track from the album Heavy Days!
